Lise Witthaus opened Folsom Montessori, Folsom’s first Montessori school, in 1980. Folsom Montessori offered preschool, PreK and kindergarten classes. Wonderful children and families filled Folsom Montessori for 42 years!

May 25, 2023, was the last day of classes at Folsom Montessori.
The 502 Riley Street property sold.

Now there’s a new preschool:
Zoo-phonics Learning Academy

Lise created a mini-classroom at her home. She offers private tutoring/enrichment sessions for PreK, K, 1st and 2nd grade students focusing on Phonics, Reading, Writing & Math. See the “Programs and Admissions” page for more information.
